Sketch Solutions 2

Along with the 14 sketches and lessons that we'll be working through in the BPC Sketch Solutions workshop, we received 14 bonus sketches and digital templates. Yesterday I chose one of the bonus sketches to work with. I knew this would be a FUN sketch because it has room for six photos . . . and I have lots of photos still to scrap for our 10th Anniversary Cruise Albums.

Both of the layouts I created with this sketch showcase photos from our day in Cozumel. I have several pages in the album before these with journaling, so I simply added a title and/or my word cluster embellishments. I followed the sketch pretty closely for the first layout, then rotated it a quarter turn for the second layout.

I also used the corresponding digital template to create a layout with photos of the covered bridge in Cheri's hometown. My plan is to print an enlargement photo of the bridge to scrap on a traditional layout with journaling about this bridge.

Did you notice that I tried something new with this layout? (I used one of my photos as the background and decreased the opacity on it.) Can you tell I'm already enjoying this workshop and the sketches and digital templates? :>)

The colours are lovely on these layouts. I admire you trying digital - it is something I just cannot get into my head and also I spend all day sitting at a computer so I think it feels like work if I try to do it once I am home!

Isn't it fun how different you can make the same sketch look just by changing colors and embellishments? You are doing great with the digi! Oh... I WISH that was MY covered bridge!

That looks like a great "go to" sketch. I love your happy colors---or should I say FUN!

I love how you did the background on the covered bridge page!

I love all of these! I signed up for this class just last night and already have completed three quarters of a layout from the first sketch.

Love, love, love these Melissa! My fave though has to be the 3rd one with the photo background! So darn awesome! I've been gone all day. I can't wait to look at the new lesson. Way to go girlie!

Being able to play around with photos is one of the reasons I like doing digi pages. Such a fun set of pages too - well done on getting so much inspiration from the class.

I love the photo background. It's something I haven't done in a long time, but I always think it's so striking. I wonder how it would work on a Project life spread?

That digital page is great!
I like sketches that have lots of photos because that's the way I scrap.
