It Wasn't On My Bucket List

Remember these gorgeous New Year New You papers from Webster's Pages that I got in my first Scrappin' Goodtime Design Team kit? One of the papers is called Bucket List, so I started thinking about how I could use that theme for my project.

The problem I had is that I've really never made a bucket list. In fact, I've often joked with Robbie that if I had created a list, I wouldn't have included many of things I've done over the past several years because I never assumed I'd have the opportunity to do them. So, while I was bouncing ideas off Robbie for these papers, he said "why don't you just scrap the things that wouldn't have been on your bucket list."

Luckily my kit also contained a Maya Road 8x8 chipboard album...

...so I set to work creating an album titled It Wasn't On My Bucket List. Here's a look at the cover.

I ended up doing a lot of fussy cutting for this project as I cut out doilies and clocks and buckets from the patterned papers, and I really like the result! I also added some white doilies and a variety of flowers and Candi dots from my stash. I created a title page with an introduction about why these items were included in the album and also used one of the quote cards from the New Year New You papers.

Each of the following pages describes one of the items that wasn't on my bucket list.

I had so much fun working with these papers and am totally excited to have these not-on-my-bucket-list items documented in such a cute album (which is currently on display at Scrappin' Goodtime).

Do you have a bucket list? Have you scrapped about it?

What a totally cute album Melissa! Learning to shoot a gun and taking a helicopter ride through the Grand Canyon were never on my bucket list. Sometimes the unplanned things in life are the best!

What a great idea! I've never had a real bucket list, but like you, could make a whole book of the things I've been lucky enough to do that weren't on any bucket list!

What a great idea!I do have a bucket list of sorts, and I've been checking things off slowly. I call it "To see wildflowers bloom in the desert" because that's one of the items on my list.

Clever idea! Have to find this paper - your layouts are beautiful! Yes, I have a bucket list. This year I started doing a seasonal list - I felt like time was passing too quickly and that having a seasonal list of things I would like to do would help me be more intentional in doing things I'd like to do and take the focus off the should do list.

What a fantastic idea for an album! I don't have a bucket list, or many adventures recently, but I'll keep this in mind.

I like the idea of listing things you are glad/proud you've done but never expected to do. Such a nice project too.

I do have a bucket list and although I haven't pulled it together know exactly how I want to scrap it. Your take on this is genius!

Oh Melissa, what a fabulous idea!!!! I am so "borrowing" this. I've never really made a bucket list either but I know if I had one, I'd have a million opportunities to do everything BUT what is on the list.....so why make one? LOL. This is perfect! Love this album. :)
