LSNED: 1st - 3rd

I'm using 12x12 divided page protectors for my LSNED lessons this year, with two 4x6 sections for each day - one for the lesson that I'm adding to my pre-made journal cards & one for a photo. I am reading Shimelle's prompts each day, however I'm using those more as a reminder to be aware of what I'm learning (or remembering) throughout the day rather than using the prompt idea itself. Here's a look at my lessons for the first three days of the month.

Sunday morning, Robbie was up early and inspired to make breakfast burritos, however the flour tortillas were past their prime and he ended up making cheesy scrambled eggs, pepper bacon, fried potatoes, and toast instead. While we were eating, I made the comment that sometimes the inspiration is just the jumping off point and then realized that was a great lesson to remember.

We spent a quiet day at home Monday, and I once again realized how much I appreciate online friendships & interaction.

Tuesday was Ellyn's monthly Crafty Tuesday and I learned how to play Traders Dice (a new-to-me game) with buttons and came home with some really cute buttons (that I immediately put to use on my journal cards!).

Have you learned anything new so far this month?

Looks great! I'm also using the prompts as inspiration rather than following them to a tee.

I'm actually using one of my cute notebooks and writing down responses to the prompts, working about a day behind but enjoying the time to sit and think. Pretty buttons too :)

These look lovely. I too am using the prompts as inspiration. If I think I haven't learnt anything then I am going to put down something I am thankful for. It is sometimes hard to find a lesson when you are doing the same things at work day after day - well there's today's lesson learnt!

We had cheesy scrambled egg on Sunday too :)

So far, I've spent September making sure TTO has learned - how to iron, how to use the washing machine..

love all your bright cheerful LSNED pages and I am joining in but not made a page yet, all in my notebook and phone so far!

I love the format you chose and your style! Great pages so far!

Really like the format you have chosen. I am not doing LSNED this year as I have learned that I need to finish things undone before packing on guilt over not getting through new projects.

I love your quote and plan to use it in one of my class handouts! You'll be getting credit for sure!!

Those buttons are very pretty and I always admire your enthusiasm and ability to get to grips with classes so productively. That first page of yours needs framing!
