Using Up My Stash

I hope you were all able to get a little scrapping in on National Scrapbook Day Saturday! I definitely did - I started early on Friday afternoon and scrapped all day Saturday.

I created layouts and cards and even did some organizing in my craft room. Most of the layouts were inspired by challenges issued for NSD, but I also focused on using products from my stash.

I decided to see how many items I could use that had been in my stash for over a year or more (some of the items I used have been with me for five years!).

Here's what I used based on this personal challenge to use older items from my stash: 15 die cut letters, 4 chipboard letters, 1 metal word embellishment, 3 tags, 1 matted poem, 24 stickers, 4 puzzle pieces, 1 scrapbooking calendar page, 4 foam letters, 2 border strips, 1 bubble sticker, and 2 die-cuts.

I completed 7 layouts and 3 cards and really enjoyed all that crafty time in my scrap room. I'll be sharing them here on my blog throughout this week, so be sure to stop back by and check them out.

Anyone else use up some old stash scrapping this weekend?

dang, you were busy! I had hoped to scrap but spent all day Saturday in prom preparation mode and was too tired on Sunday to even go into my scraproom!

That is such a great idea! I wish I had a whole day to devote to scrapping. I'm lucky to get the one layout I need to get done actually completed. Sounds like you were very productive and I love hearing that you used up your stash. :)

I didn't use up much old product, but I sure brought tons of new product home with me! Now I have all summer ahead of me to use it up!

That's a really good idea, I think to sort out my stash soon and most definitely sort out the older stuff :)
