Four "New" Parsons Chairs

For a couple of years now I have wanted to get some extra chairs that could be used with our dining room table. We have six chairs that match the table, but on occassion we need more than that and have to bring in a mishmash of chairs from around the house. I've been wanting to get four upholstered chairs that we could use at the table but that could also be easily brought into the living room if we needed extra seating in there. Since these occassions only occur a few times a year, I have been reluctant to spend the money. But a couple of weekends ago, we went to the Cumby Auction on I30 with Mama & Daddy and picked up four upholstered parsons chairs!

The chairs needed a little cleaning and two of them had small tears in the corners as if they had been pushed up against a wall. I washed them down, cleaned off the few little stains, and sewed up the torn corners. They look great in the dining room! And the best part of all - the cost was only $20 (well, actually $21.64 with tax included)!
